Leadership is quite a crucial issue. A leader is the head and the voice of an institution. Every decision he/she makes are the determinant of the route the organization is set to take. A leader thus has to think critically and have wider thoughts of issues to enable them govern well their institutions. Employing different frames as a leader is very important. They have to know what to do in different situations and to device a way that fit all the situations. There are four different frames that can be employed by a leader. It is advisable to use them all where possible but most of the leaders use one of them at a time.

My natural leadership style is the human resource leadership style. This puts great emphasis on the importance of people in an organization. It is on the view that the management has to endorse a good relationship between the organization and the people. Thus, motivation, teamwork, participation and the good interpersonal relationships as well are deemed as being very important (Bolman, & Deal, 2013). A human resource leader, views a good leader as a person who is participative and a facilitator as well and empowers others by all means.

This type of leadership style is mainly based on psychology and views an organization as an extended family and is composed of individuals with feeling, skills, prejudices and limitations (Bolman, & Deal, 2013). It however faces one main challenge or limitation. It focuses on finding ways in which people can be satisfied with their jobs and feel good about them as well as get the job done. This is at most times is hard to achieve as it will be hard to please everyone, especially in larger organizations. The employees want their basic needs to be met. These include trust and security. Once an organization fails to do this, the organization can face a risk of losing them from the organization. This is the point where strikes can be experienced and most employees opt to join unions so as to fight for their rights (Bolman, & Deal, 2013). A leader who expresses the human resource type of leadership thus believes that a healthy organization should be able to provide adequate benefits and wages and ensures that their employees are comfortable to undertake their various duties as they have the necessary skills and resources.

This style of leadership also has one advantage. The leader always thinks about the employees and better ways that he could improve their well-being. This thus makes him to struggle hard to make sure that what he finds right is employed in the organization. The employees in this case are set to benefit from this. Despite the fact that they won’t be able to get all the previledge that they wish to have in the organization, the leader will do his best to give them the best he can. This, he believes, will enable him manage his organization effectively as well as provide a suitable environment that best suit his employees.

Organizational culture is a very important attribute in an organization. It is capable of shaping the performance of an organization if it can be incorporated well and taken in by all the organizational members. The power of an organizational culture is expressed well in the United States Congress, the Air Force and the Zappos as well. When expressing human resource leadership style, one has to be able to build a culture that is able to bond the people to enable them pursue the organizational mission (Liz, 2013). In my opinion, this frame can be applied in an organization by, for instance, rewarding the members of the organizations who have made an effort in their duties so as to motivate the others to go in the same direction. Those who go wrong on the other hand can also be punished (Liz, 2013).

Another suggestion is to ensure very specific attention is allocated for each duty that has to be undertaken as well. The allocation of the resources as well has to be looked into (Liz, 2013). These have to be evenly distributed so as to ensure everyone has a fair way of undertaking their jobs. The action of the leader is also equally important. How the leader behaves and how they carry out their duties is likely to be copied by their employees. The leader thus has to set a good example which can be emulated.

Leadership is a great opportunity that requires a one to be very careful about how they execute their duties. Some people were born with most of the leadership attributes while some have to work on them. Taking into account the leadership frames is thus very important. It has to be well understood as one might at some point need to know the situation where the leadership frame has to be changed and another one brought in.
