It as well acknowledges that businesses make community life better in many ways.
How a leader can be both a leader and a servant at the same time
Servant leaders not only serve their employees to enable them serve their clients but they as well serve them to ensure they become better people and make them better servants in the world. They ensure their staff are not only groomed to be better at their organization but in their lives as well. They provide them with opportunities to better themselves and grow. Servant leaders as well ensure they practice good stewardship. By this, they ensure the wellbeing and vitality of their people, the organization and the community as a whole. One can as well be a good servant leader when they measure their success not by their own accomplishments and achievements but by those who they are serving.
Strategies for servant leadership
There are several strategies that a good leader can undertake for them to create a good example that can be followed by other people. The first is performing small acts of kindness. It is very easy for a leader to be occupied and forget the people who are around them. According to Blanchard, (2018), the leader can start with the closest person to them and show them they care by doing small things. A small act of kindness can go a long way. A leader as well needs to learn and get used to walking slowly through a crowd (Spears & Lawrence, 2016). This helps to connect with clients, employees and colleagues.
